Plixer Scrutinizer supports external viewing and analysis of Alarm and Event data via its different exporting and forwarding options.

Export to CSV

Alarm and Event data can be exported as CSV files directly from any of the Alarm Monitor views.

Notification Profiles

Notification Profiles contain instructions that allow Alarm and Event data to be automatically exported or forwarded for external use. Each Alarm Policy can have multiple Notification Profiles assigned.

Notification Profiles can be configured with the following actions:

  • E-mail to a specified recipient
  • Output to a logfile
  • Forward to a specified Syslog host
  • Forward a specified host as an SNMP trap
  • Forward specified host as a CEF notification
  • Run a custom script with Alarm variables as arguments
  • Create a ServiceNow ticket with the Alarm message as its description

Hint

Notification Profiles can be used in conjunction with the Store Alarm Policy status to acknowledge, forward, and store Alarm and Event data without having it reported via the Alarm Monitor.

Notification Profiles can be removed from an Alarm Policy under the Current Notifications tab of its settings menu.
