The rotate commands are used to replace the keys and certificates used by Plixer Scrutinizer in its functions.

Options and syntax

Note

  • These commands will alter Plixer Scrutinizer functionality and should be used with caution.

  • rotatecerts can only be run using direct shell/script syntax and not from the SCRUTINIZER> prompt (as shown below).

rotatekeys

Creates a new encryption key and re-encrypts all encrypted fields in the database

 
scrut_util --rotatecerts --reset
Regenerates all certificates on all nodes, including any Plixer ML Engines

If the --reset flag is included, the CA certificate on the primary reporter and the Apache web server certificate will also be regenerated.
